Compare the Reading course outlines for text-based practice and the Writing outlines for organising and expressing ideas. Look at the specific tasks, examples and practice sets: course numbers distinguish collections and do not by themselves indicate an increasing level.
When reviewing a written response, ask whether it answers the task, whether the reader can follow the organisation and whether each sentence adds something useful. For reading, return to the text to explain your choice instead of relying only on a remembered answer.
